I've been thinking that the safest way for NZ is to win the start when they have the advantage, and hope for an unforced error in the race they don't.
I'm picking 1-1 today. And again tomorrow.

The last weather report I saw showed it might be too windy for any racing
    today.

Let's hope that the wind will be within the limits and there will be some racing.

Both boats are sailing really fast and the gap between ETNZ and Oracle Team USA has closed.

At this point, no mistakes are allowed. While Oracle Team USA needs 8 wins, I think that it is very difficult (but not imposible) for ETNZ not to win 2 races.

NZ can make a few small ones, just not one that damages their boat beyond
    repair. :)
To win the series, Oracle must race perfectly for the remaining races and hope
they can overcome any NZ advantage at the start. That's going to be very
    difficult!

Last I saw the wind was gusting at around 26 knots.
(It looks like sailors will be braiding each others hair, and getting their cycles in synch instead of racing today.)

Anybody have any recent data from SF webcams?

ETNZ has a big handicap of having just one valid boat. If anything happens to that boat, the only hope they will have will be their ground crew and technicians. They will have to be able to repair the boat before Oracle wins the remaining races for Kiwis non-attendance. So, it is true that anything can happen, and that the battle is not over yet.

There are a lot of comments on the Youtube site complaining about no live feeds to NZ or the US ?

    Is this the fact ?

Live youtube is available in US wearing Brit ip address.

Astonishing control by DB today at both the start and at the bottom mark to the finish: he effectively flushed all those comments in earlier races that he wasn't a match for JS's agggressions. Great tactics, great poise NZed!

The live youtube coverage in Australia has been absolutely brilliant.
No ads, and no jumpiness whatsoever in any of the many races I have watched.
All you need is a browser.

I bet the sponsors looove the dragging out of the series :)

Heeeey - the Team Oracle captain is Australian !!!!!

Wow - its even worse than that - havnt the Yanks got any decent sailors ?

" That is why Oracle, which represents San Francisco’s Golden Gate Yacht Club and the United States, can compete with just one American — Rome Kirby — on its 11-man crew, which featured sailors of seven nationalities in Sunday’s races.

This is in keeping with the owner Larry Ellison’s global approach to talent recruitment and with the prevailing recent view that America’s Cup teams are closest in spirit to motor racing’s Formula One teams: more about brand identity and pushing technological boundaries than about national identity and a patriotic agenda.

“I love America, and I love to say that my family is American,” said James Spithill, Oracle’s Australian helmsman and skipper, who is married to an American. Spithill added: “But I tell you what, I’m not going to try to hide from the fact that we have different nationalities in our team, because I’m proud of every one of them and the ideas and creativity they bring.” "

A recent weather report said there were prospects of rain and thunderstorms.
Not sure if it will hit SF in the next 30 minutes.

Live coverage in Australia works with

I'm not sure about other countries at this stage.
