    More effort required

    Ultimate "D"

Here we have a case of.................................. dare I say it................. lack of personal responsibility.

When you own & or navigate a vessel, you are responsible... for it's maintenance, where it goes, what it does & for the passengers & crew, & whatever interactions that vessel has, if thats just you then fine...... or share the costs with insurers....

It's called being the "responsible person".

Your vessel as last pictured is still repairable, you have blamed others for your predicament........ It's very "easy" to point a finger in another direction!
Get off your behind & patch it up, get a genny, a grinder, some plywood, resin, chopstrand mat, screws, etc. etc.
stick an outboard on the back & drive it back to the mooring & then fix it some more......
Of course you can keep up the whining..... but whinging is for wimps.
What you've been doing is dishonouring to yourself, actions speak louder than words, in your first post you told us what you coulda done if this & that didn't happen, I'm sad for you that your boat got busted but it's only work, so is sailing, learn to enjoy it, rise to the challenge or STFU.
All the best in your endeavours from Jeff

"Harbour Master TRASHED My Yacht "

Perhaps this could form the lyrics of a new Rap song. ?

Kinda like...." Last night a DJ saved my life "

If you do try and take it back to the mooring, take the mast off first otherwise the boat will probably tip over again.

If a forum member starts a thread for the purpose of soliciting input and advice, and another forum member (such as Leo) reasonably believes that the thread OP is in over their heads and may cause harm to themselves or others, it is neither a kindness nor a responsible act to enable, encourage and offer sympathy to that member looking for input and advice. Sometimes a splash of reality (assuming it is sincerely offered) is the responsible response.

You may disagree with the view that others have taken but "having nothing decent to offer" is a negative projection on your part of their motivation, sincerity and their character. (As an aside, you may want to familiarize yourself with Leo's contributions and professional achievements.)

Here's a practical question for you, based on a problematic example that occurs in many families: what would you do if you came to the conclusion that an elderly person in your family no longer could safely operate a motor vehicle? Wouldn't you do the decent thing and support the revocation of their driving privileges? Would you take issue with another family member that opposed your efforts to do so and accused you of not being decent?

Thanks for the support, Tomas, but professional "achievements" are not
    relevant to this situation.
The only thing that you need here is the simple common sense to realise
that there are two sides to the story. Both sides would be presented to a
court of law, unlike an internet thread.

There are so many questions that Ultimate Designs has ignored or not
answered that make me suspect that we are not hearing the complete story.

    Cowboy Harbour Master

Hello Dirk, thanks for the offer of design sheets,im registered on gumtree but this link would not sign me in so maybe i have to register twice, the biggest problem is my yacht is in Wales and im living in the Scottish highlands and my yacht has now been looted and striped of parts making it too expensive to repair so im having to give up on any repairs now,i found a yacht trailer but its too late now to tow back too Scotland,i phoned other harbour masters around U.K. asking if they think the Welsh harbour master is responsible for wrecking my yacht but they dont want to get involved in accusing another harbour master of wrong doing even when the photos blatantly show they destroyed a good yacht, the yacht lawyers said its not worth pursuing this in court because the costs would be more than my yacht was worth, thanks for everyone who offered advice, maybe i should share my experience with a BOATING MAGAZINE a bit like Cowboy Builders,it could be titled Cowboy Harbour Masters.

That yacht was wrecked from the first grounding which was solely YOUR responsibility. Once the keel was open to the sea and the ballast came out, the only thing to do was repair it fast, not bugger about.

You didn't know how to do that, time passed, the harbour master took what action he saw fit, the boat is now a write-off.

This whole chain of events started due to your inadequate & incompetent seamanship and was compounded by your ignorance of basic repair methodology.

Accept the responsibility for the consequences of your poor seamanship and move on.

Here's the plans I was talking about. Sorry about the URL link, I think that was for my personal sign in page.

If you have a trailer suitable for removing your yacht you should give it a go. Take the mast off & drag the boat onto a trailer, you can't do much more damage than whats been done surely. Send me a private message with an email address for you & I'll send you the full design sheets if you want. Use them to either fix your keels or build a new boat. The Waratah design can easily be modified to make it longer & a live aboard. See my video here: http://youtu.be/TwsosCoumfU

I like your Youtube movie how ever I am jealous of your rep as it’s almost as low as mine in a lot less time.
This is a early one of my boat design inventions http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDfSuAtiVkQ on You tube, compare that to boatdesign rep.

About the only satisfaction I can think of is a discussion with that Harbor Master at a local pub, outside in the back. I agree, knowing nothing of laws there other than being English Law, as it is here, costs for indemnification exceed the value of the yacht, but if you are also awarded costs as well as damages, then you may have something. See an attorney, if that doesn't work, see the bar tender. :)
