    Boats modified by owners.
    One of modified catamarans made UFC, the 1200 mile Watertribe Ultimate Florida Challenge, including portage stage.

    Those photos are from the west-to-east arctic trip made a year or two ago?

    I remember reading about it at the time, a good adventure!

    No. White boats sailed a lot around northern coasts of Russia, but not complete west-to-east. It’s not the project for single vacation of working man :)
    Blue trimaran sailed from Mauritius to Brasilia, red catamaran – from Brasilia to Thailand.
    This boat has frame made from FRP tubes.

    I recall that project had a number of russian-language web pages, with some good maps showing where they'd been. They'd been doing sections of the north coast for 2 or 3 years?

    As you say, it is a long, long way. And a short season!
