1. The Marketplace Forums can be useful for members who know one another well from forum discussions and offline communications and wish to post boatbuilding tools, drafting tools, molds and tooling, and other professional equipment for sale or trade. However, caution and good judgement should always be used. Especially when considering any business with anyone not already well known to you and trusted, due diligence must be used to confirm details and identity and be sure the transaction is safe before any money or property changes hands. Always use good judgement and perform due dilligence and follow these guidelines.

That is not totally accurate, mostly it is not correlated with inflation, look back and do the numbers, it is more of a crisis hedge, insurance if you like. Gold will do well in times of monetary stress, it can work in inflations and deflations, the key is the underlying state of the economy and financial system at the time.

So you think I'm 'just making ***** up,' when I point out that people buy gold because they're told it has some sort of magical intrinsic value, and will hold that value when everything else is going in the toilet?

You just got put on ignore, so I won't be tempted to start arguing with you again in other people's threads.....

She didn't steal a car, Hoyt. She looked inside one that had the driver's door open, with a fake bundle of money on the front seat. The police who arrested her didn't even wait to see if she would try to take the money, much less the car. They arrested her simply because her daughter called her over to point out what was in the car, after a guy pretended to abandon it during a fake cop chase.

And if anyone thinks NYPD wouldn't arrest and charge someone on evidence that thin, they've obviously never lived in New York. I have.... :)

Did she take the money or not? No it was never touched. I agree with the judge and apologize for getting it wrong.

Better read this acticle then consider the terrible injustice inflicted on poor people...set up by cops or charged with crimes ...who haven't got enough money for a private lawyer.

    http://www.theatlantic.com/national...ight-to-counsel-50-years-after-gideon/273433/

"Of the more than $146.5 billion spent annually on criminal justice, over half is allocated to support the police officers and prosecutors who investigate and prosecute cases, while only about two to three percent goes toward indigent defense."

When a public defender is appointed they spend...

" six minutes with the defendant "

That enough time to learn the defendants name , then advise the poor bugger to plead guilty to a crime they didnt commit in order to reduce their jail time

So entrapment has been done to death, and as a subject is boring and serves no real purpose as I figure most readers can discern and avoid blatant entrapment  :?: The following links may answer some questions in the dark recesses of the minds of readers - enjoy . . . . . . . - If you do not like, then place this thread/me on your ignore list... Thanks - - -

The economic responses to the put-down brought a wry smirk to my face as some recognised that there is manipulation in a totally over the top manner...

    Hi Moggy,
LOL for a change... anal-ising to an "n"th degree is so . . . . and my short attention span is truly challenged... Even the economic stuff of the past couple of days :?: and now on TV with a kiss the baby photo opportunity - - - Dr No (Tony the ****** opposition leader?) is 'er', 'ah' and other 'hessitancies', in his normal speech, and filling my ears with ***** that is truly painful... but apparently he is "supporting a noble and useful cause - "carers", who look after the aged and infirm out of hospital" - I have done that and the bureaucrats make doing such VERY difficult...

The internet is littered with these sales pitches. Oldest profession after prostitution. All of it is a sales pitch of one sort or another.

How low will it have to go for you to sell your boat at a big loss and invest in shiny bars?

    Come on 1250 :D
