Thought it might have been that, I do question that fuel consumption figure though ! :p Looks like a lot of fun though.

I've seen lots of the "sweet 16's" but never a 14! That's a fun time for sure.

Awesome boat Bert. Do you know the history of it?
I almost bought a sweet 16 and still would like to.

there was brand new boats exactly like this a few years back in the uk.
they were made by Donzi. and was at a dealer for Donzi boats.

its was at a boat dealership in maidenhead england, about 12 years ago.
I know they were stupid high price and more of a gimic at the prices.
proper rich boys toys as the price was realy crazy, far too much for what they were.

i see the one on you tube is not original neither.
far too much stuff on there that was not even made in the 60's !!!!!!!!!!!

looks very pretty boat, but very slow getting up on plane.
for that amount of horsepower in such a small boat i would be expecting instant plane.

But a lovely looking boat in that deep red as well mmmmmmmmmm.

    OK Phil

This is the last of 14 produced from a single mold. I doubt you saw one in the UK. Lots of people say they saw one here or there, like the Sashsquash.
11 were made when Donzi was made by Don Aranow. This is the only boat mold that he dragged from one business to the next. Two were built and finished at Cigarette and one was in the mold when he was murderded in the late 1980'S
That would be this one. It has a 4 cylinder 120 HP Mercruiser engine and an Alpha out drive. It is not slow out of the hole. You can either go slow and get on plane quickly to get on plane slower and haul ***. Boat does 50 MPH. It was restored in 2010 to the way I wanted it to be. The yellow one sold last year. I have a picture of both boats side be side. I will post more pictures. There is an article at www.woodyboater.com just search Donzi. It is as much fun as you can have in a 14 foot boat. My wife and I were out yesterday and had a blast.
