The Ian farrier forum is F-boat@yahoogroups.com I am not sure if it will work. I have not been able get an individual entry.

The last entry has been No 6711. There also has been a thread running on solar panels if any one is interested

Thanks OceanCruiser for the latest link. It looks like it will prove that an Ocean racing multihull can make the passage. More motivation for others in the future?

I did not know It was on the Sail world site, so thanks.

I suppose now the next question would be, would multihulls be allowed to start in the Sydney to Hobart race it self. Or the organizers will still dismiss them as unsafe.

Someone-I think Corely- said the club would give multihulls a start if there were 5 or more? Am I right, Corely?

Superb performance and hard to imagine anyone else beating the time - and out of a decade old ORMA 60 design at that. Shows how advanced/decades ahead the French (and Nigel Irens too of course) have been (and still are) with their multihull developments.
Now imagine the very latest design: full foils, aerodynamically refined platform, large wing mast and so on.
Who would bother with a canting stinker after this?

Looks too narrow, no foils, backward rig, more a fast cruiser in my book.
