So, what this article is saying is one or more of:

The global temperature has never been 2C warmer than now.

The global CO2 level has never been significantly higher than now.

Both the above have never in geological history happened at the same time.

The fossil record is a lie.

Molluscs & crustacea have evolved from organisms without calcareous exoskeletons multiple times in geological history, with essentially the same forms.

The planet really is only ~7K years old and the fossil record exists only to fool people into thinking it's older.

The global warming agenda is a fear agenda, to implement social/political {socialist) controls.
Anybody with self thinking ability would realize this, if they for one moment thought for themself instead of swallowing the propaganda.

Yep. Something like 99% of legitimate scientists worldwide are taking time off from their day jobs, to promote a climate change conspiracy as part of a socialist agenda that will let some mysterious masterminds take control of the world....

Seriously, Yob. Don't you folks ever listen to yourselves, and realize how silly you sound?:D

but 99% of scientist are paid by those governments we all think are in conspiracy
therefore there's a conflict of interest there

While I agree with you WRT the entire conspiracy caper, belief in some of the claims from the pro-AGW people requires either a complete lack of knowledge of the fossil record or an explanation of why this time things are going to be different from all the previous times the planet has had elevated temperatures & CO2 compared with those in the early 20C.

Just look at how long the fossil record is for marine molluscs & crustacea.

That objection has been answered time after time after time. I see no point in doing so yet again, if the other times didn't stick....

Question authority, especially leftist authority, which is rife with propagandist lies.

Either that, or one of the most valuable organisms in the entire billions of space years of the observable universe, a sentient, reasoning self aware entity that is without any known equivalent.

By the way, you can take Peters (PDW's) comments with a grain of salt - he has just gotten some reliable internet access in his country, seaside oasis, and is intent on stirring up trouble on a global scale. I will taunt him severely when I call around this morning for coffee, and check out his steering setup on the boat.
