    That is indeed a bargain !
    You couldn't replace the trailer for that money.

    The only kicker is the cost of the trans-Bass Strait boat trip to drag it home.

    Add a few hundred dollars, maybe, but it would probably make more sense to ship it on a flatbed, at least as far as Melbourne, oitherwise you'd have to take a tow vehicle over first, adding to the expense.

    Or use that as a bargainaing chip.... :)

    I think you could get owner to deliver it to ferry and then pick it up from terminal in Melbs.
    A few options, buy a $500 special in Tassie and unload it in Melbs, use a hire car ?

    I knew a guy in AK, that moved his Boat Trailer out to an Island by floating it with Tire Inner tubes and White foam.
    It was slow going, but worked out fine.

    Is your distance too great to try that?

    Hahaha Id love to see someone try this on Bass Strait!

    Id be very interested if not for the distance / hassle involved, why are the bargains never local :(

    Not having seen the boat this may not apply but I know a bloke who bought a "bargain" Trailer Tri, he ended up with a rig/sails, couple of hatches & a trailer...................
