You may have noted the drain hole has already been drilled in the short piece that runs across the bottom of the new stern. The compartment will be flood-able and entire hull can drain through that hole as the original drain hole has been preserved. I may leave it permanently closed as an air chamber except for the drain.

For those of us challenged by your new avatar (picture thing), would you enlighten us?

I'm afraid all I see is modern art...

I had that happen to a transparency in a projector, the cooling fan stopped running . . . but Picasso made more money with it.

tks for the update. Those spring clamps are handy things, aren't they? Seems like no matter how many I have, I always need about two more....

Not easy getting all those angles just right is it?

    Looks great.

You just can't own too many clamps. :)

The angles are easy with a proper fully adjustable electric miter saw and making full scale drawings ahead of time. :)

I only had to measure twice and cut once. ;)

Oh My a bad case of footitis is a happinin -- the dreaded disease of small boat owners-:) . I don't know Hoyt, was it a wise decision to taper those additions so much -- the transoms widths are reaching the point where you possibly can add only one more foot. :D Lookin good old chap --give her hell ---Geo.

If I need more length than this I will just add trim tabs or squat boards to the new stern, but I doubt I'll need them. With the bolted on mounting frames I can re-do the re-do fairly easily, although I hope that proves unnecessary.
