I love the term and attitude that goes with it, "Wildlife Management".

Who do we think we are, God?

Not only that, but we never seem to learn.

    It doesn't work.

P.S. I use the term "God" loosely.

Either that or "God's" a goof!

Or both... :D :D :D :p and as this example ably illustrates, certain people need to take the bible less literally as per attached response to a self righteous broadcast espousing NO ABORTIONS and getting the attached in response...

A rare time I agree with you 100%.

But men put the goats there. Can't men take them away when they cause a problem?

Is there maybe a better cactus control than goats for that environment?

I dont think there are many religious members here, even Hoyt as made massive leaps forward in his belief in so much he is willing to accept the first testament as bull and that the earth was not made by a gods hand, so thats good move forward.

I definately think there is a strong connection with with poverty and therefore a lack of common sense with religious belief, hence my suggestion above that there are not many on this Forum being a boat forum and boats cost money.

It would seem logical therefore and I believe it is the case that you woulod find many believers on another place.

I am deeply horrified when a leader of the modern world says God bless America ,--is that not Afganistan or Europe ---just America,--a little selfish would'nt you say as gods creation ( if your into it) is Earth not America.

I was shocked and dissapointed in Romneys last defeat speech when he said he would pray for Obama and America.

This is a religious loaded thread, how can one discuss the catatrophe of a disaster without taking into consideration that many people will turn to a god for help. Even sitting at the Alter steps waiting for an arrival of the almighty as water laps thier feet.

In any catastrophe or natuaral disaster people turn to god and then do nothing while waiting----and die in consiquence.
If I one day I think there might be a disaster I am prepared,-- however for a natural disaster it will be on my own --I will not drop to my knees and plea for help or expect any from my fellow man nor a god. Infact expecting some would be pointless and probably un wise.

I think a few naughty goats in a place they are considered unwelcome is the least of the Earths problems.

Management is whats needed,--people with ecology certificates --simple --intruduce a more aggressive crocodile, goats gone.

But a better management would be to release private slaughter restriction and eat them. But then Mc Donalds would complain people had located a cheap and better meal less tax and revenue. Share holders would go ballistic.

Christmas is coming up and goat would make a welcome change and if your in California let me tell you snake is a nice meat and a Burmese python will feed a family of 4.

Funny how half the world is starving and yet seals are kulled ( thats a posh word for killing well not really --kind of killing,-- just a little bit killing ) and then there is the naughty goats and of course the Burmese python all good food but we are all too tired and cant be bothered so we send 34 million like England just did and it was lost ---guess where it was,--- in the PM,s bank account.

With respect to the Moderator I must answer this post in my own regard.
That is untrue what you said about my beliefs. Please retract it. I do believe the Old Testament to be true, but a matter of how one interprets it. I believe He said "Let there be light" and light came to be. I believe the Heaven and the Earth to be made by God and He also made the life forms therein residing. I believe the story of Noah. I believe He led the Jews out of Egypt. I believe Christ was born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified for our sins, died and arose on the 3rd day. I believe the only way to Paradise is to accept Jesus Christ as the Son of God and our Saviour. I am sorry if I led you to believe otherwise. I also believe He allows a nation or church that turns away from Him to face destruction, to have its lights put out, so to speak.

This is my last word on the subject so in the future please refer to this post if you need reminding/clarification.

What is said, is said and let us all learn from what is written and having read, move on - as that is in part the essence of freedom of expression...

Further on 'goats' - removal from a small island without careful inspection may lead to an unforeseen disaster as in the lighthouse Island (Pine Island) near Middle Percy Island, where some potted cactus may have escaped and the goats were keeping it in check by browsing and when the goats were removed the cactus "took over" - - - an ecological disaster, all because they failed to consider the introduced cactii...

To clear cats and some other 'ferals' from Barrow Island and Peron Peninsula in the NW of western Australia, has probably cost millions and millions of dollars and still there are problems...

Re the phantom negative rep person - get a life, and issue positive only along with your name, or STFU
