Another 'adult' response - I guess you're either thick skinned or just thick, so continually missing the fact that the majority of posters on this forum are tired of you're disparaging meaningless comments.

Bangkok is renown as a refuge for its population of old and dotty expat suger daddies living off their meagre pensions spending their day and evenings lurking around the red light districts soaking suds before going home to their child brides

Just to put a faintly boat-related slant on it...

One of the justifications for completing the railway line from South Australia to
Darwin was the capability to freight tuna quickly to Darwin where it could then
be put on fast catamarans to get it to Japan quickly.

I'm not sure how the economics worked out in the long run, or whether it was
ever implemented. I suspect it was a bit of a fantasy.

Didn't you say "and you weigh 400 kilo in America"? Isn't kilo 1 Kg or 2.2 lb?

It will be 400g next time.
Then he can claim he was actually praising Americans for their svelteness. ;P

You aren't the only one who has made a serious units error. Three examples: a NASA spacecraft lost, Tokyo Disneyland's axle failure, and Air Canada Flight 143 running out of fuel.

That's a distance of some 2800nm. Even at a constant 40 knots that is going to take 70hours.

From the Philippines to the dinner table in Japan is less than 24 hours!

It didn't look very feasible to me, either.

    6 months + 24 hours now.

I would just like to comment that if you click on a user's name, there is an option to put them on your ignore list - and then you don't see any of their posts, unless someone else quotes them. Not a feature I've found much use for on other forums, but I've found this forum significantly more civil and enjoyable by using it.

Thank you Troy for what started out as a truly nice thread. I felt your joy then and wanted to join in, just as I feel your pain now and want to leave.

Regretfully only 10% of the thread is relevant and the rest is an exchange of insults between folk who are no doubt far more sensible and intelligent than they care to let on. We are now merely marking time until Jeff steps in and mercifully cuts off the “discussion”.

It’s time to take your words literally and unsubscribe, as I have had to do for so many potentially interesting subjects. I also read and contribute to several other forums, none of which have members with this combative attitude that seem to desire nothing but to spoil an otherwise pleasant exchange of views or information. These forums serve to restore my faith in humanity.

I apologise for the rude tone of my last answer to you. I was tired with a couple of strong drinks down me, and answering you on my way to bed.

But I stand by the basic thrust of what I said: I don't intend to wander around in any more of your verbal mazes. Enjoy the thread...:)

There's no particular pain involved, Terry. Just bemusement (and occasional mild exasperation), that such a convoluted thread could have been built on my original rather simple post.

Let's not call for Jeff just yet; I'd like to see where else it goes.;)

Home delivery --wow you know how to do it. I did'nt know you could do that. Was that in Bangkok.

By the way its ********* not kiddy fiddlers I know its a big word but you need to know if your going to write a lot about it.

Its a horrid subject and to be honest your constant referral to it is a major concern.

Let me know when your coming back and 'ille see if I cant get you arrested.

Sorry I mean I will have you arrested. Think I cant?

Your quote above is enough for suspicion of an offender.
