Hello again everyone, I'm just curious if anyone, hopefully those who also own B33's have any advice on water stays, mine is missing them.

If your box, faired beams are not flexing under rig loads, then keep them that way.
I've only experience observing and racing against a couple of Auckland B33's (one which was overbuilt and heavier than Crowther designed, therefore required the stays) - but if it is possible to retain the clean box beams, and you're not freaking out from beam movement, stick with your setup.

I'm thinking I might need them, I can shake the bow of one ama and the opposite transom barely moves. The former owner lost his rig when the outer side stay loosened during a race because the windward ama lifted. I do not want this happening to me. I know "where" they go bit I'm wondering if there is a "Crowther" specific/approved way that they were fabricated.

Yeah, well, put them on. Just run them from their shroud attachment points to ring frame/bulkhead in the main hull. Use carbon uni directional tows to the thimbles and spread them over frames. If you search the forums there are threads covering this method, far superior to great lumps of metal and bolts.

    waterstays

Wolf, your Buc was designed with waterstays, attached to a V shaped stainless carry through the same size as the waterstays. (I don't know the size of a 33's) It was sandwiched between two bulkheads and had a vertical brace up to the crossbeam saddle. If you think you need them and they have been removed or ??, use the "Gary" method and build in some carbon or glass attach points- they will be at least as strong and probably won't leak:) and rot holes in the hull:mad: Some new ways are a LOT better. Mine didn't come with any, but knowing the original owners/designers I'm sure they planned to have them installed. I've no attachment points what so ever. I can send a few through hull fittings at the bulkheads under the amas easily enough, just wondering if there is a "this is how them Buccaneers do it" method.
