Investor wanted for Shipyard project in Asia

Maybe he was an agent.

True im clutching at straws here. maybe he was put of by the level of intelegence on this forum. Or maybe he wasnt...

 

A few months back I put together a project business proposal to build a 16m special purpose work boat then put the word out for an investment partner to share development costs.

Amongst the respondents were 5 separate scam offers, each from a different agent claiming to represent a private equity capital investment company in Dubai interested in my business venture.

I had previously been contracted as technical consultant by legit equity companies in UAE and France to deliver due diligence report on several yacht manufacturers I know what the real deal looks/sounds like.

These guys had websites, documents the full monty all set up to offer equity finance that later gets changed.
After they think the mark is truly hooked they then advise the equity investment will begin as short 5yr term loan at minimal rate that will convert to a full investment, "no security reqd but there is a small set up fee, usually $300K for a mil.five, but we've reduced it to $150K because we're so excited about your excutive business plan"

Funny thing was one guy with Chinese name/email 'from' HK had a very distinctive deep voice with Arab Syrian/Kuwait accent.

Then along come Mr Markus saying he's not knowing Mr Mike but he too be offering a parcel of land in Siam by the water and holds the making of 85footer...Aye Sir strange tis the coincidence of the matters

I had a look at your web site, while not wanting to dampen your enterprizing spirit I suggest you rethink some of the claims/statements your website has if you are intending international sales.

Some claims are borderline, some are just plain incorrect and extremely missleading - that if you were based in a western country you would be liable for false and missleading advertising. A court would force you to return the customers money or rectify the craft when your boat fails to perform to buyer's expectations.
