I am rebuilding a Hallet Hustler with a Vicelen jet unit run by leyland p76 4.4ltr.What started as just a freshen up with a good motor ended up striping everything off back to just shell, replacing & adding more stringers,re epoxying etc.I was very lucky to source the inventor of the Vicelen jet & his help will get this dinosaur back to better than new.Anyone with tips or advice on full rebuilds would be much appreciated.I will post progress pics if anyone is interested.cheers,frank.

was that the 4.4 fitted to the P76 that was called the P38 because it was half the car it should have been ..??? Would love some pictures.

Ha ha you don't know what a P76 is --well neither do I.

    Are you trying to say a P6 3.5 liter Leyland /Rover v8?

This will give you a starting point !! was a great car in its day . i remeber seeing one racing in the targa rally a couple or 4 years back in nz , it was a pretty mean machine and could honk along !!

Well aint it just so nice to know that Frosty does not know about something...FANTASTIC ( cannot spell litre either)

Well the rally car might have been great but the publics road version was unreliable and a gas guzzler hence the P38 monica ..

    GO FROSTY ......

I google it --its some Aussie abortion that no one else but Aussies know about --maybe a reason for that --note pistons first comment.

Australia hosts formula one but don't have a car. I wonder why --- no i don't.

and formula 1 is boring as batshit, i would not be worried if it stopped coming to aus.

Hi guy's,great to read all your posts & see that there is some interest in this project.I will post some pics when I get onto the home computer & work out how to do it.My greatest help in getting this done is Greg from Unique Marine in Woodend here,an absolute genius in all marine work.We just put the motor back in last night to size it all up so we can make the over transom pipes & fuel tank fitted in the bow then in a few weeks a full respray.the amazing Len of Vicalen Jets is making me a bucket so I will have reverse, all falling into place nicely.Such a satisfying & exciting feeling seeing your dreams/visions becoming reality.

Between Glasgow and Birmingham was the industrial revolution. The biggest bridges ( you have one in Sydney, why could'nt you build your own) the biggest ships the biggest steam engine the biggest looms etc etc.

Oh I forgot its where RR was. The finest car in the world.

And I think we had the worlds only supersonic passenger plane, we dont have it anymore that was years ago.

    Etc etc etc

I say between Glasgow and Birmingham because southerners are a waste of space.
