We have gators in over abundance here in Florida. We also have some salt water crocks down in the keys and in between we have an epedemic of Burmese Pythons, thousands of them. Some of those things get to be 15 feet long. The pythons can and do eat the gators and the gators return the favor by eating pythons.

Gators are a protected species here, but I do not know why. There are estimated to be nearly 2 million of them in Florida. The Swamp People TV program is often done in the state of Louisiana. They have plenty of gators too, but no pythons. Plenty of deadly venomous cottonmouth moccasin water snakes though. The moccasin is smallish. He is rarely over four feet long but he is mean and aggressive. Some Florida folk eat rattlesnake meat. Rattlers are venomous, mean and aggressive too. At least they dont like to swim around the lakes like the moccasons do.

Rattlesnakes may not like the water the way moccasins do but they have been observed swimming between the mainland and the barrier islands in the Gulf of Mexico.

I see a profit here, If raw material is in abundance then,--- kebabs are cheap.

    Get my drift.

I've had a lot of ground buffalo; it's pretty good. But it's lean; when I grill buffalo patties I usually bury a pat of seasoned butter in the center of each one.

Rattlesnake is good too, but even leaner. If you're cooking it over a fire, you need to baste it almost continuously to keep it from drying out and turning into leather.

I've always pre-boiled rattlesnake then sauteed at low heat in melted butter, sometimes seasoned. Good stuff.

Snake is nice with a bit of kidney.

You mix it up and make a Snake and kidney pie.

Rattler, cotton mouth and copper head are dangerous --48 hours =dead

Who, The snake ready to eat? Why the delay? A snake over here bites you, - (the most venomous snake in the world is Australia's inland taipan (Oxyuranus microlepidotus)), - and you do not get to finish the Lords Prayer... and what about the trouser-snake? - - causes abdominal swelling that lasts for about 9 months - Very painful I am told...
    http://www.avru.org/general/general_mostvenom.html

Saltwater Crocodile in this region extends from around Geraldton in Western Australia - around the "top-end" and down to Brisbane... They may be found in regular sightings...

Emu drumstick is quite nice with the 12 spices & herbs of KFC,
Kangaroo makes a very good low fat curry, - and if your fancy is for a more fatty meat then I suggest feral goat or kangaroo tail (where the fat is stored), but the tail is best as a soup along with seasonal vegetables and a bit of 'bush-tucker' seasoning... - - -Breakfast with a couple of blown (to preserve the shell which is then carved/etched by hand to make 'bush scenes') emu eggs made into a rich omelette...

In Louisiana if you get a Tag, you hand a whole Chicken with a Hook in it, from a limb about four feet off the water.
If the Gator can't get the Chicken, he's too small.
