Going back to when i was in the army at the time THE YANKS ran away from Vietnam after doing all they could with there mite and huff and puff and agent orange etc etc . lots a noise and nothing much else !!. Its time they pulled there heads in !! pickup all there rubbish and went home !! no one really wants them !! oh yes they got heaps of money but not a lot else and if they need more money they just wind up the printer and print some more !!.
One of the nicest guys i ever known was a american and he loved life and had a pholsophy of life i really liked unfortunately he had cancer and went back to lake Tahoe to spend his last days with his family . RIP Rob !!

 

I too know some nice yanks, errr not many, but they think the same as me and say "why do you think I don't live there".

Yeah --it would be nice if they went back and cleaned up all those mines they left behind --they still blow peoples legs off every day.

Dirty fighting is that---mines. There excuse was that they could'nt tell the difference between civilians or the real thing so they killed everything in sight.

And still left Vietnam with there tail, between their legs.

Pattaya was the Rand R and was just a fishing town then, many yanks never returned and live there today and were not lost in action, they own the baby go go bar, on soi 6.

Most of them are gentlemen but as expected have a very short fuse and can go off in a very dangerous way. But Thailand has police and its not tolerated.

Most dangerous men are calm --its the fuse you need to worry about.

 

Guess there's nothing better to do in China and Thailand than cry in your beer and criticize other people.

P.S. I never criticized it for being built in China. Not sure about the idea of building a new Titanic, but I'm sure it will be built fine with the money put into it and the awareness of what it would mean to screw it up.

A while ago I saw a television program about a expedition to the Amazon jungle, and near the start (at Manaos, I think), one of the native work riverboats (a low hull without cabins etc) had the name 'Titanic' on. The program's commentator said that that was a bad omen.

There is a big Thai fishing mother ship lies of Kantang in the ******* sea called 'Thaitanic'. I see it many times when I head off for Phuket

In trying to say Anda--man,--its a sea of the west of Thailand and Burma but you cant say that word.

 

The Titanic sinking seems to have put a stop to naming a succession of liners with names ending in "-annic" and similar: Teutonic, Britannic, etc.
