This little boatie is going boating on Saturday, if the weather holds calm... To use the opportunity to put the boat in a slightly better position and to put my new 1100 W alternator/battery charger on board - - It will ensure power on those overcast days and when doing overnight passages to ensure there is adequate power for the autopilot etc ...

- The next big purchase is the watermaker...
- The next big bit of work is to lower the berths and fit / buy 2 of the 600 Litre long range fuel tanks... Getting close.........

Things happen very slowly when your sole source of income is a paltry part pension of about $500 a fortnight...

Why do'nt you take some paying passengers out on river tours.

That is illegal - need a commercially registered and surveyed boat, permits and licences galore and a licenced skipper relevant to that activity, Oh and insurance for this and that as well as PFD's for each and every person as well as liferaft... or something like that... (designed to protect the bigger operators and a "nanny" thing to look after the stupid, ignorant and innocent)....

 

Take them for free then and later make a donation to the 'Mas yacht fund"

The see saw is overloaded at one end --it wont work any more, it doe'snt go up and down like it used to.

Its simple,---- wont win elections but that seems to be most important.

European crisis is taking the light away from USA that is in a horrible mess. The indecisive politician are magnifying the problem many times.

There is no "see saw" whatever that was there is broken beyond repair and recognition as being something that is useful and may serve to function as per the original intent... The "bullies" are charging a fee to look at what is left - Nothing, and that is fraud....

On a boating note, - - Now, some images of "CNO", better parked after going for a run to charge the batteries, as the seagulls have been whitewashing the PV panels...

ps. - - - - we have pirates operating locally, and are close to capturing and "hanging them out to dry" - - A friend had, (amongst other things) an EPIRB stolen and activated... Police recovered the EPIRB and civil charges for MALICIOUSLY activating an EPIRP are up to Au$50,000... - That evidence is also sufficient to successfully prosecute for piracy, as the evidence so far gathered is proof of piracy as per the definition attached...

 

My escape pod is an acre and a half of dry land with two homes on it, where I hunker down and wait out storms.

Can't be any riskier than cutting the mooring lines and drifting across the briny blue.... among other things. it's hard to grow a garden on a boat -- even a cat.

Not if the 'starving armed vengeful hoards' think you are well stocked with food and paper-money... as it is they, who I fear most - They may still be in denial that there is anything wrong, and that gold and silver are useless and just commodities and support the mistaken view that fiat, (all paper), money is "god", and finally become as angry as all get-out that their jobs, future and existence is destroyed... I frequently disagreed with Bob's positions on issues but I've always respected him as a person with the courage to back his beliefs. However now he's gone the watermelons who have infiltrated the Greens are going to kill their host in short order, I feel.

The other mob, both sides, don't actually have any discernable beliefs other than getting into and holding onto power for its own sake. Pox on all of them.

Sentiments I happily endorse... Come elections the only choice is "The least damage." but that may mean the most stupid - caught in a catch 22 conundrum... One old road worker I knew, on retirement had a simple solution - although no possibility of his wishes coming true - the conversation on that matter was ended PERIOD, once he had uttered the words "Shoot the ********"... Had a nice and satisfying ring of finality to it...

 

Unless you never have to pull into port and you're invisible to pirates when you're underway, I like your chances less than mine.

 

Depends on who gets to choose the folks who need shooting.

How much water does one guy on a boat use?
200 litres in a $20 plastic drum will go a long way.

How strong is the roof, or foredeck, or sidedecks?
