I would have loved to watch those...
hmmm wonder if those turbines are still in germany?

ill bet though if steam was more dominant then coal would be more expensive than oil..same greed -different medium...

    Very interesting.....
Anthracite coal is at 850kg per cubic meter and 30 MJ per kg...so ~26 GJ per cubic meter but very cheap.
Diesel is 815 kg per cubic meter and 43 MJ per kg...so 35 GJ per cubic meter.

If you could put scrubbers on the smokestacks....

The 9 BMW gens were a fantastic idea, 1 engine runs the AC, more crew come on board start another,--- Need to move it start 2 more,--more speed start another.

One was always down for service.

gas prices falling in USA with election looming.

the Powers That Be always loosen things up near elections to get the serfs fat and happy.

I could've sworn all supermarkets had unheard of blowout sale prices on booze and meat 4 days before last two presidential elections.

Never happen again. If its too cheap we will start waisting it again and build Cadilacs and Hummers, plus the Saudis wont be able to cope and cut back production to make it go up again.

Unless this wave of interest in electric really gets hold then the Saudis can cut back all they want because Texas, Norway, Canada will be able to supply enough.

---And thats the day I wanna see. Tell the Arab terrorists to stuff there oil. You had your chance and blew it spending billions on terrorism and nukes to blow up your customers DUH.
