    In 2011, the US paid $454,393,280,417.03 in interest on govt bonds.
    http://treasurydirect.gov/govt/reports/ir/ir_expense.htm

    The Fed returned 79 billion to the treasury. Do you think the Fed owns such a small piece of the debt?

    Let's find out.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/US_Federal_Reserve

    Federal Banking Agency Audit Act enacted in 1978 as Public Law 95-320 and Section 31 USC 714 of U.S. Code establish that the Federal Reserve may be audited by the Government Accountability Office (GAO).[56] The GAO has authority to audit check-processing, currency storage and shipments, and some regulatory and bank examination functions, however there are restrictions to what the GAO may in fact audit.

    ***Audits of the Reserve Board and Federal Reserve banks may not include:

    1.transactions for or with a foreign central bank or government, or nonprivate international financing organization;

    2.deliberations, decisions, or actions on monetary policy matters;

    3.transactions made under the direction of the Federal Open Market Committee; or

    4.a part of a discussion or communication among or between members of the Board of Governors and officers and employees of the Federal Reserve System related to items

    The Federal Reserve Transparency Act was introduced by congressman Ron Paul in order to obtain a more detailed audit of the Fed. The Fed has since hired Linda Robertson who headed the Washington lobbying office of Enron Corp. and was adviser to all three of the Clinton administration's Treasury secretaries.
    Why the hired lobbyist?
    To stop it of course!

    Im looking for some 'Somalian' pirates ,--any one seen any.

    I understand some laws have recently changed and the pirate chasers France etc can now go on land into Somalia and get them and hang them by thier nuts,--well destroy their bases and outboard store and let the petrol out.

    Seems so simple doesnt it to stop these kids from pirating ships.

    300 years ago The British would have blown Somalia out of the water before lunch time. Publically hung the government by 3pm and formed a new one under her Majesties pleasure by tea time.

    The problem is that money has become a theory, in other words a bank can loan money out, any amount, even if the bank does not have that worth in gold or property to back it up. In other words the bank loans you money they don't have (except in theory), YOU however have to pay it back. In other words you have to pay back something they never actually loaned you, except in theory. This means they only get but never give.

    The world's total debt is something like 7 times it's own net worth. How can this ever come to be ?

    Here's how you test them. You ask them to show you the collateral in real stuff... all the banks. If they can't produc it then you write that off and you will see you should be debt free. Remember in reality they cannot loan more than their actual worth, but they do by theory while you have to pay back in reality.

    Just printing more money escalates the inflation, iow the amount of printed money is now more than the collateral value - hence the $ becomes worth less. That is how the Zim $ became worthless, if there is no money they just print more, illiterates there think if you have a LOT you are rich because they count 1, 2, 3, many, but cannot count value.

    If you have $1000's worth in gold now, if you double the actual paper money, the $ becomes worth half it's value. So if your income hasn't doubled, then you become poorer.

    Frosty, this is the pirate thread, we hijack here :D

    Ah you see ! This is exactly the problem, they can't, because they are owned and as a country cannot make their own decissions. Same with most other countries, thay all are dictated to. He who owns the banks...

    sure sounds like it though ..

    Well, you might like to check the facts

    "He further commented that the day the Federal Reserve Act was passed, "the Constitution ceased to be the governing covenant of the American people, and our liberties were handed over to a small group of international bankers" (Ibid, p. 29).

    Unfortunately, Mullins' source for the stockholders of the New York Fed could not be verified. He claimed his source was the Federal Reserve Bulletin, although it has never included shareholder information, nor has any other Federal Reserve periodical."

    I would also wupport Ron Paul against Obama if he were the only choice. Even our worst republican is better qualified than their best democrat, not to say that Commander in Cheese Napoleon Pants is their best democrat.

    Nixon was no conservative but look at the choices that year. One of the things that have hurt us much more than Watergate was when he reduced tensions with China which led the way for them to take over our industrial production, aided by American Labor unions and hostile left-wing corporate taxation policy which helped push our companies into the arms of the ChiComs.

    Really? I've read the history of the Barbary Pirates from those times, and getting a handle on rogue pirate states wasn't that simple. It took Britain years of repeated military operations, plus major action by other nations such as France and Spain, to finally bring the Barbary Pirates under control.
