Your trolling me Troy. Is the gist of it all you want? explains lots.

Reading is subject to interpretations and there is no room for interpretation of learning or every one learns different things --

What a croc Troy --in a tenth of a second my human brain ( same as yours I think) Can absorb an image that would take you 20 minutes to read and then maybe get the' GIST' of it ----only subject to interpretation could you fabricate that image that could be totally false.

Completely and utterly does not matter in fiction stories.

You'de better git on out N shoot yerself a varmint fer supper.

Who's trolling who, Frosty? When you try to get uppity about how smart you are because you keep your nose glued to a TV and Yobarnacle doesn't, you're talking to hear your head rattle.

I think every study ever done on the subject shows that people whose primary source of information is television are not just uninformed but misinformed......

That's a fancy way of saying they don't know much, and what they do know is wrong. :)

Exaggeration is a terrible thing Troy, it shows desperation for one , who said I had my nose glued to the TV, or that I was smart( thank you)?.

People whos primary source of information are uninformed? Link on that please .

I know you like I love Lucy or Dallas but I want referring to that.

Hooray for literacy! Gave you rep for this well stated post.
I too, don't want the facts pre-digested, analyzed, interpreted, graphed sensationally, or "slanted" by pundits.

On their tax returns where it says occupation. Do these folks write "pundit"?

Actually, I don't own a TV either -- at least not in my motor home, where I spend half my life. I bought my wife a very large and very nice one, which she uses to watch movies. My son has a smaller one in his bedroom, which he mostly watches anime' on.... what can I say? He's my stepson, so I blame it on bad genes.:p

Never watched Dallas; can't tell you anything about it except what I've read. But Lucille Ball occasionally rose to heights of comedic genius that have seldom been equaled.

And I say again, mate: people who depend on television as their primary source of information don't know much... and most of what they know is wrong.

I have no idea why any TV or radio-brainwashed loonies would vote for Obama, given all the garbage spewed by right-wing propagandists and alarmists. Seems to me those types mostly fell into line behind Santorum, and his 'contraception is the root of all evil' bs.

On the other hand there are literate, informed and rational voters like myself, who've spent the last year laughing at the clowns tumbling out of the GOP primary clown car, even though everyone knew Romney was going to be the nominee in the end.

And why on Earth would anyone vote for Romney, the Obama Lite candidate, when they could vote for the real thing instead?:D

edit: one question about Santorum. He also claims that the Obama administration wants teenagers to become sexually active, because that increases the number of abortions -- and according to Santorum, Obama is somehow in favor of more abortions. But in that case, isn't offering them contraception counter-productive?

Then, to confuse things even more, the latest records show that teen pregnancy has fallen to an all-time low in this country (maybe because of contraceptives and better sex education?). How is Obama going to promote abortions, if the uncooperative little darlings won't get pregnant to begin with?

That seems to have struck a nerve.... someone labeled it 'garbage,' and gave me a whole two points of negative rep. Of course, they didn't have the cojones to sign their name.....:p

A word of advice for you political fanatics out there: if you don't want to hear my views, don't poke at me.

Or as one of our cinematic heroes put it, "don't start none, won't be none.":p

That was wrong, too. You took a cheerful shot at me that I was at least somewhat open for.... while knowing you'd get return fire.

Maybe they're just objecting to any political discussion at all. They should maybe lighten up?

I don't belong to either party, but I'd vote for Ron Paul. Maybe I'll write him in. That's more responsible than not voting at all.

Or maybe a miracle will happen at the national!
Santorums delegates are now uncommitted, Right?

Maybe Paul will get a lot more delegate votes than he has delegates!

Thanks for the kind intentions, Yobarnacle. Some people do take this stuff too seriously.

I remember one time almost forty years ago, when my dad and I were in the middle of a great table-pounding, dramatic political discussion. My mother came into the room in tears, proclaiming "I just can't take any more of this between you two!"

We both stopped and stared at her, totally baffled. And my dad asked, "what are you talking about, sweetheart? We're having a great time.....":D
