Hi, I am new to boat building but I have done design and engineering, I have worked in the past building control systems for Yachts. I have a number of original hull forms and lines planes even complete build plans of my own. But how do I go about selling these? Can anyone advise please?

In what context? How do I go about selling these, as in finding a potential buyer? Copyright/royalties issues? Something else?

Concept boats are something you usually build yourself and then test. If it works, then it may become a prototype for production. There are thousands of designers and NAs selling plans that are not radical, but guaranteed to work, which is what the usual customer looks for. You may look for grants if your concept is truly something novel and you can convince a committee that it has some advantage over existing designs.

Thanks for your response, I have no longer the time to build right now these ideas, however I was hopping to find someone interested in buying my ideas, plans, designs, blueprints etc.

What would make your untested designs more attractive to a buyer than an existing design from another source?

That is the question Jim has to answer to the prospective buyer. Just stating the ideas are great does not mean much.
