In the 'hotbed' of England fanaticism about climate criminals, guess what they are now saying?

Apparently the sunlight is dimming, less sun energy means more cooling, perhaps a new ice age cometh.
Europeans are freezing to death with extreme cold and it is all over Europe including Rome where snow is falling after 30 years of no snow.

The supposed ‘consensus’ on man-made global warming is facing an inconvenient challenge after the release of new temperature data showing the planet has not warmed for the past 15 years.

The figures suggest that we could even be heading for a mini ice age to rival the 70-year temperature drop that saw frost fairs held on the Thames in the 17th Century.

Based on readings from more than 30,000 measuring stations, the data was issued last week without fanfare by the Met Office and the University of East Anglia Climatic Research Unit. It confirms that the rising trend in world temperatures ended in 1997.

the sun is now heading towards a ‘grand minimum’ in its output, threatening cold summers, bitter winters and a shortening of the season available for growing food

Climate change , global warming means climate INSTABILTY and a long term warming tend.

Just what science is presently observing

Was a bit of a shock to see all that snow weighing down palm trees on the French Riviera. That, of course, is "weather" not climate, the bottom line seems to be that old Sol is not nearly well enough understood for climate science to be 'hard' science.

Ha- I will and rue the day no doubt..
You do any stumbling around on the fossil reef deposits in FL?

Ya gotta love a tide pool- give it time and they will be in Texas or 50 miles offshore
Who knows- we gotta get that time travel thread up and running so someone can check into it.

Padre Island will become the Padre Peninsula. The English will be able to walk to France without the Chunnel, but why would they? :)

It's also going to keep those 'westerners' from straggling back east and causing a ruckus.

Himalayas and nearby peaks have lost no ice in past 10 years

a few more stunned scientists freezing to death might help the cause of truth.

The Himalayas and nearby peaks have lost no ice in past 10 years, study shows

The discovery has stunned scientists, who had believed that around 50bn tonnes of meltwater were being shed each year and not being replaced by new snowfall.
The study is the first to survey all the world's icecaps and glaciers and was made possible by the use of satellite data. Overall, the contribution of melting ice outside the two largest caps – Greenland and Antarctica – is much less than previously estimated, with the lack of ice loss in the Himalayas and the other high peaks of Asia responsible for most of the discrepancy.
Bristol University glaciologist Prof Jonathan Bamber, who was not part of the research team, said: "The very unexpected result was the negligible mass loss from high mountain Asia, which is not significantly different from zero."

If you read the entire article, you'll note that the lower glaciers in the Himalayas are indisputably disappearing. The difference is that at the moment, the highest peaks seem to be adding enough snow and ice to offset the melting. Until someone explains why, it's a bit of a stretch to claim it proves anything one way or the other about overall climate change.

Sorry, folks. Yes, this is interesting and needs to be studied. But it doesn't prove global warming is just a liberal conspiracy foisted off on us by evil scientists, aided and abetted by socialist/communist/Marxist/New world Order politicians who want to enslave us all.....
