If i had my choice to vote for a Sharon, I'd vote for Sharon Tweed a wholesome Newfoundland born girl with good lungs.. Gian I too own and am rebuilding a CJ. It's an 84 Cj7. If you need parts Quadratec in the U.S. has a good supply. Great company to deal with. We hunt for boar in your Cj there and moose in my Cj here. Thats if you don't make it too pretty to take into areas where it might become scratched. :) Mine is and will continue to be spray can army green for easy touchups. The body-frame and engine are in excellent shape with only 35,000 miles on it. The problem i have, it was in storage for years and all the transmission/transfer case/wheel axil seals all dried out and are leaking. Once i complete the boat build i will do a complete body frame restoration.(Factory paint is still on the frame) It also has the best engine one could have in a Jeep, the AMC 4 cyl. not the GM 4 cyl iron Duke the second best. These little engines are easy to work on and keep the weight down for rough going making it easier on the drive train especially the read drive axils. I just sold a Jeep CJ aftermarket fiberglass body -- too heavy.

Not withstanding the above post, rarely do threads get so tedious , boring , monotonous and pointless as this. Probably second place to the Global warming thread.

By the way no one answered my query on Terrapins and a big boat came into the marina a few days ago with a helicopter on it, the crew threw out a perfectly good German Miele vacuum cleaner with nothing much more than a scratch on it. So is the advantages of being penned near the super dock. Boy does that machine suck, now if only they would discard the pipe and fittings.

Dear Viking, except that you play the guitar and I the piano, we would have the same profile.
You're smart, you have a cj, u understand the importance of history, u love nature ....

:mad:How can you compare that gypsy caravan with Sharon Stone? CAZZOOOOO !!!!!!

Thank you for the quadratrac, but I don't have an automatic transmission; in Europe in 1984 was foolishly despised.
Engine is an Isuzu diesel: indestructible.
Will I need other things and shamelessly I'll disturb you.

Remember to organize the trip to me.

    PS
about sharon ...:p you are absolutely certain about your heterosexuality, is not it?

Agreed Frosty--including your posts :) . I think the Einstein thread out did them all, while very scientific it had absolutely nothing to do with the heading it was under "Design" but there are times in ones life when a good old off topic bull chat bonds people into a co-operative force, an opportunity to heal old wounds so to say. Possibly we could start a new thread a "Topic of Everything including Boats. :D If that would make everyone feel better I could do such . ????
Now as to your injury -- when you hit the water, did you happen to scream OH God -- Possibly He misunderstood you and the long lasting intense pain was the result of Exorcising the Devils outta ya :p

Gian--Quadratec is not the transmission feature thats quadratrack. Quadratec is a company in the U.S that sells an amazing selection of Jeep parts. What year is your Jeep ?

To begin with, the individual mandate was originally proposed by Republicans. They didn't start hating the idea until it was adopted by Obama... and you're dead wrong about the government having no authority to force people to buy something. The precedent was set by the Militia Act of 1792.

It required able-bodied men to not only join the militia, but arm and equip themselves -- at their own expense. That included city dwellers, who would normally have no use for a musket or rifle. And guns were relatively expensive back then.
Seems to me the individual mandate goes hand in glove with the concept of personal responsibility. It's strange to hear so many supposed conservatives saying, "you're not the boss of me. You can't make me take care of myself and my family, instead of freeloading off the government and my fellow Americans when I get sick or injured."
