Mature married couple. Wife complained about husbands flatulance for years. Warned him one day he'd blow his guts out his rear.
A hunter friend gave the couple of ducks. Cleaning the ducks, wife decided to trick her husband. She put a handfull of duck intestines in back of his shorts while he was taking afternoon siesta.
When he woke up, he stumbled into kitchen.
Wife asked "Are you okay, dear? You don't look well!"

Beer is aprox $3.00 AUD a pint (not to bad - but not so cheap & I don't drink beer). What's a double vodka with a can of coke cost, or a bottle of good vodka/pr/btl? Just gota have my 'sundowners' every night, he he but true.

A unit on shore @ $215.00 AUD is a bit more than I'd thought. Anything less that is livable? Like around $150.00 AUD/mo

5000 TB/yr = $155.00 AUD/yr - that's bloody cheap (leaving more $'s for 'sundowners' & some 'eye-candy' for companionship). WOW - that's my kind of crusin' - for sure.

Sailing - up-there - is on next years 'to-do list' for sure. Haven't sold our '3rd world' property here in OZ yet but soon I hope. Dropped the price $300K to get it sold.

For general living cost info:
We just bought weeks groceries here in mexico. Total spent 1500 pesos at 14 pesos=1 dollar US.
included following. all meals for two persons:
Meats. 2 meals of beef steak, 2 meals of ground beef, 3 meals of sausage, 3 meals of chicken, 3 meals of fish, bacon, and various lunch meats for sandwiches.

fresh vegetables=red n white cabbages, tomatos, potatos, yams, soy sprouts, carrots, 3 kinds onions, peppers various, celery, cilantro, egg plant, squash, tomatillos, corn on cob, lettuce, raddishes, broccolli, asparagas, avocados, and cauliflower,

fruits=lemons,limes,oranges,greatfruit,apples.pears,grapes,strawberries,papaya, and cataloupes.

4 liters milk, 4 liters juice, 5 liters coca cola, 70 liters drinking/cooking water, 1 lb butter, 1 kilo cheeze, 3 dozen eggs, 3 kilos flour, 1 kilo corn meal, 2 loaves sliced multigrain bread, 12 small loaves french bread (baquettes).
tortillas we buy fresh daily or wife makes from scratch.

cleaning laundry supplies, tooth paste, garbage bags, ziplock bags for leftovers, ect

all for about $110 US

I see by your posts - that Mexico is similar to when we used to run away from the snow in Canada - just the other day ago - 1951 to 58. Grand place, for sure. Thanks for all your info,it certainly seems a possibility,I do believe that I can claim my GB Pension wherever I live.I dont think I can make it happen overnight,it would take a little time and arranging,but you have given me food for thought which I appreciate a lot.
Maybe a holiday with those things in mind might be a good idea.Those coastlines and the fact that the US is a close haven certainly appeals.
As old Frosty says I would be naive to think I could have a love affair with a"Senorita"she would obviously be on the payroll,but man,what a way to go,Haha.Tequila sun sand and sex,might even have time for some sea fishing.

 

I have my "Official" us adress for passport, masters license, drivers license, ect. My SS and AMO pensions direct deposited my US bank.
Maintaining your GB adress might be wise. Don't immigrate, just "visit" other places, kinda long term.

 

I can see you have it sussed,letting go of safe roots is not a good idea.
I have relations through marriage who live in Coffeyville in Kansas,I think they have dual citizenship [Uk and Usa]they flit from the uk to the Us on a regular basis. They buy antiques here in the uk and ship them to Coffeyville for resale.

I discussed with my wife. If you wanted to meet a nice young mexican lady from a fine aristocratic family, we might arrange you to meet one of our nieces. La senorita Fernanda is 22 and presently a university student. Father is a lawyer and owns 2 ranches. Both grandfathers are rich ranchers. One is my father-n- law, and owns 5 ranches. Fernanda is intelligent, drop dead gorgeous figure and face.
She's spoiled and self centered like all little rich girls, but great personality and caring.

She has asked me many times to introduce her to an extranjero, (foreigner), a mature man, that will treat her like a goddess.
The whole family thinks I treat my wife like a goddess and Fernanda thinks she wants someone like Tio Dave.

AUD and USD value are within a few cents each other.
The townhouses we own are all occupied, but I believe we charge fairly for our locale. In other words, similar housing would be similar rent.
We have off street private parking. We are behind tall locked gates and high walls surround entire complex.

we rent 2 storys concrete townhouse with 2 bedrooms and full bath up, kitchen, dining, living room, and half bath down for 2500 pesos a month, or about $180 +/- depending on rate of exchange which varies daily. Water and electricity not included. Water(not for ingestion) about $30 a month and electricity for us (we use a lot-all electric kitchen) about $300 every 2 months (billed bi-monthly) We have electric heat and airconditioning both floors.
Buying bottled water for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, washing face, coffee, tea, and coffee pot hot water rinse of plates and utensils immediately before use, we use about 70 liters a week. 10 liter bottle costs 18 pesos, or $1.28

In a convenience store here 1 litre of water can cost that much, but at least the chocolate is good. How do you like the Mexican chocolate with the cinnamon in it?
