The 3rd link is similar to the 1st link, but has a yellow wall paper, neat.

Common home installation is by modem or cable DSL. DSL is always online and much faster. Most offices adopt a much higher speed connecting media is used.

With a modem system, you can upgrade downloading speed using an accelerator.

Portager..... bear in mind that, although wireless is supposedly good for up to 150-200', this is optimal for a situation such as a gymnasium or open field. Walls, ductwork, refrigerators, cordless phones and general electronic clutter GREATLY deminish the signal strength. In the average home you're lucky to get 75 feet from a typical do-it-yourself wireless router. *I install wireless cable routers and cable modems for the local cable company by the way*

download speed =1.09Kbps and
upload speed =0.87kbps
and i check my speed from **************
please tell me whether my connection speed is fair enough or do i ve to improve?

 

I usually get around 100-120Mpbs down load and around 70-80Mpbs upload; we have opted for the 'slower' connection. Actual rated is 200MPbs, but rarely get this.

Here is today's result somewhat different as the web is a bit irratic today so my speeds are up and down:-

Download just 93Mbps
and upload very slow at 20Mpbs

 

We share the Astra-3 satellite with 50.000 users in Europe.
Download speed is 2 Mb/sec, upload is 256Kb/sec. These are targets, not actual values.
Full speed is only achieved when most of the other users are sleeping.
We started with the "fair use policy" where speed is reduced if you use substantially more than the average user. Instead we have a data limit of 2 Gb, after which the internet is lost until the 13th of the next month.

 

Right now running 10 Mbps Cable but they just introduce 50Mbps...really tempting!

 

Wifi from boat to marina 24 Mbps,--bit slower sometimes.

Thats what it says when I right click the wifi icon at the bottom tool bar . I don't now if thats potential or what.

 

Speedtest.net shows 6.2M down, 1.3M up

 

I guess I must be pretty slow because when I tried to connect the the middle link my connection timed out.

 

that has to do with the server and the routing you are going through to get to it.

 

From the cable network at home its very fast but starting my workstation takes over a m
inute, do need it for the faster starting wifi to xp pc in the living to have I-net
starting to reading on phone is real fast' say 3 seconds to have the new posts from unlocking it, and can be done mobil or in bed. Yes I should get a laptop coyse acad android does not mea much and typing is from the phone as you can see

 

Dunno how in your little test window you get the date...i just get loads of adverts!

Ah yes.....bit slower now the salarymen are at work, and typhoons edge has just hit us (always effects the speed???)..heavy rain right now. Scary wind/rain tomorrow!!



This is "normal" speed here. I can though, if i wish to pay more, have a 1GBps connection.
