Here's an idea, collect some skilled workers from the big Satan and place them in a fundamentalist ruled country. What could go wrong there . . .

They have it, but they're too stuck on themselves to admit it to infidels. The keep them all to themselves and pretend it's an honest ideology, all the while the ones with enough money, fly off to extort themselves in the decant virtues of the Satanic west or other, less vertiginous Islamic areas.

If you want any serious replies, you're going to have to post more than a simple one liner.

Like where in southern Iran, which town and shipyards name, what type of boat, how many etc. Also what are the boats used for, and if any Classification is involved in the production, for starters.

If you're not prepared to provide this, you wont get anyone even interested in sending a simple one line email reply.

Some ball-less wonder dinged my reputation points for making my first post on this thread. Is it really that much of a stretch to make fun of this post, particularly when it comes from a country like Iran? They sure can talk up a good game about how righteous they are, then stab you in the back anonymously with the reputation points. The classic coward's approach, much like strapping bombs to your children's chests and then lie to them about dozens of virgins and glory to come, after they cripple and murder innocent people. Please, you coward ***, if you can't man up and send an email or IM, then at least sign your coward's name to the ding. I got a better idea, go ask your Islamic brothers to help you out, in the composite structures areas and leave us here in the great Satan alone. Surely someone over there should have managed to steal this technology from someone else (likely a western country of course) by now.

    really

Look, seriously now: you've got to be nearly suicidal to even consider going to Iran. Think of those poor wretches who not so long ago strayed into Iran while hiking near the border. They got locked up and spent time in the jail.

It happens to Mexicans all the time. There are many foreigners working in Iran. Working conditions vary. However, I agree with AdHoc, that the offer is extremely vague. The most important thing is for the poster to offer work permits. US citizens would not be able to get them though.

I think you need to separate the actions of the incumbent government from that of the poor ******* citizens that must put up with their regime. Without side tracking the thread into politics, there is a gulf between the two.

Any westerner that goes to Iran is just asking to be taken advantage of. Yep, there are westerners there and they keep a low profile, their women wear the appropriate head dress, even if they don't want to and generally are just hoping to get lucky. Yes, their government is a tyrannical regime, but only because their people have let it be for over 30 years now. This is a place where lieing and corruption are socially acceptable habits and nearly everything they have has been stolen from other, typically western societies. You don't honestly think they've developed their own nuclear energy program do you? The first one delivered by France, was justifiably destroyed and this latest venture can't be reasonably assumed to be a purely infrastructure related industry, let alone self generated. The same folks that bring death to all that aren't Islamic (you don't think those IUD's in Irac are home made do you) will surely not enrich fuel for weapons. Naaaa, these are honorable folk . . .
