double bias handling

    Hi, I'm new using double bias (DBM 1708)
    so as I use to do with mat and roving, I measure my patches ,dry fit them, and carefully roll them .... but with DBM at the moment af the layup I found that they have distorted and dont'fit any more...
    any secret tip on how to handle this material without losing the shape?

    Wet them out on polythene sheet, trim the edges and fit the patch into place, then remove the plastic. A light weight flexible polythene is best (75-125 microns)

    If you do not need the drapability, you could also opt for stabilised DB. This has a small amount of 90 degree fibers, which prevent it from changing shape.

    Some of these materials, I have found do not like being cut off from the end of the roll but work better when cut with the length.

    Use double bias with the 125 gram csm on the back it hold together no sweat . Also comes withA 225 gram csm as well :D
