Americans aren't destroying the place. That activity is rife in socialist countries however.

it doesn't mater who is wrecking the place, what maters is that we stop
    and fast

I gotta wonder why you so adamantly refuse to discuss the fact of changing ocean conditions due to climate shift

there is more and more evidence coming in daily and should the trend hold yachting will be essentially forever changed

Especially after the ice-caps lower the coastline will it be more difficult and costlier to go yachting. With the price of gasoline so high no one will afford to go to the coast.

97% of climate scientists agree on global warming and that it is caused by man, leaves a rare few who might agree in this wacko's idea that the place is cooling off.

Your climate scientists are either on the take, intimidated by socialist green bullies or delusional. We will see in 4 years time where the climate is trending. It is cyclical.

    2015 is the year,
When it all becomes real clear,
That if you believe all that you've read,
You are either brain-dead or Red.

    way off topic
you seem determined to ruin a thread that is directly relating to increased dangers of a more energetic sea state, the additional energy obviously coming from higher temperatures which are obviously generated by Rapid Global Climate Shift

once again I would have to ask that you quite with the childish and inane off topic posts

I am sorry to say that stopping the childish and inane off topic posts seems to be impossible for Hoyt. It just seems to be an innate character defect that is impossible to correct, either by deliberate choice or otherwise.

What I wonder if he is on the take from the climate change denier groups or if he is just doing this all for free.

I think the only time I ever complained to Jeff about a poster was when the site was invaded by thug spammers but its getting close. I would think that boaters in the regions presently effected might appreciate a discussion about what the effects are and what the short term predictions might be. Hoyt's insistence at distracting the thread away from its intended goal is, I'm pretty sure a breach of forum policy to keep threads on track. I'd hate to have to ask Jeff to intervene and hope that he can show enough courtesy to stick to the subject. I nabbed a few points from him after repeated request's but he is either unable to comprehend or unwilling to adjust to the realities of today's world. If he insists I don't see what choice he would be giving me other than to ask that his off topic posts be eliminated.

    anyway
good to hear from you Alan
    hope all is well
    B

There was a good interview broadcast on Radio West on 2/24/2011. Here is a written introduction to the broadcast taken from the link

    http://www.publicbroadcasting.net/k...M-F..11AM..and..7PM)/22411.Merchants.of.Doubt.

"Historian Naomi Oreskes says that while the U.S. scientific community has led the world in research on issues like public health and environmental science, there's also a small group of scientists that mislead the public with ideas based on political agendas rather than science. Oreskes has written a book that explores how this has skewed our understanding of climate change, tobacco and more."

You can listen to the interview by going to the link I posted above and then clicking on the "listen" button.

I encourage those with an inquiring mind to listen to the interview. Those without a desire to learn (you and we both know who you are) may choose to skip it.

Hello, Alan. I haven't read any of your posts in awhile. Been away to re-education camp?

If you don't think the left is trying to steal our rights and freedom using the environment as just one prong in the attack, watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HnkxIh62dQ>

If you think I'm on the take then you haven't seen the financial state I'm in.
