"free Naval architectural books" gives: "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms."

"free books" gives: 78 thread results, including this one. Sort of a needle in a haystack search.

"Naval architectural books" gives one thread link which does not mention the free books....unless I missed it.

At this point I would say your suggestion of using this Search function as not working. Perhaps some different key words  ?

    Thanks anyway :) ,

Thanks for the "fish" Yipster, though I would still like to figure out how to find these things using the Search function...if possible. Teach how to fish so to speak. Thanks for your patience.

Incidently, this is not only for me that I am asking but also for the person who started this thread. Until then I had no idea free naval architecture books coulld be downloaded. Actually, I am still having some doubts about that.:) I have my own library and purchase books often to add to it.

    Have a good day,

These links seem like the last email I've received:

The only text I have seen lately on Usenet is:
Eric C. Tupper, Introduction to Naval Architecture, 4th ed., 2004.

I am not competent to judge whether it is a particularly good text, but it is probably Ok as a start.

    Good luck!
    Leo.

Tuppers good. That's a current standard book for NA courses certainly shouldn't be free. Someone scanned it?

Thanks, Mike. I had a wander around the Matrix and there are hundreds of scanned Engineering books there. The NA book is only 12Mb and perfectly clear, so I guess someone just uploaded an original electronic version.

Well, in matter of fact there are a lot of engineering ebooks over the internet for free.
