I need a boaty name for our new dog...

What a cute little puppy-should have a name like "Bungee"

 

I agree with the two syllables thing, though no more then 3 or they can get confused (I read this somewhere years ago). I also like Gudgeon which seems appropriate for a female somehow. I'm not tickled with Bog, it doesn't have a female ring, it's a single syllable and sounds like too many other words. All my dogs have two syllable names and they rule my life, the ********.

Gudgeon and Pintle eh PAR, good set of names for the boy and girl mutt....geees we waste some time here don't we...my work today is drowned out, we have had rain here for a month and the city has just drowned, we spent the last few days moving boats from the river before the flood.....still was running at 8 knots at least, quite powerful.

both our kids shows. and both dogs are smarter than thier owner.

 

"and both dogs are smarter than their owner"...aren't all dogs smarter than us, hey we go to work to get money to feed em, bed them and go to the vet whenever needed, who does that for us......dogs are far too smart to do that.....

pet health came up here.. its been a rule of mine for a couple decades now to read the ingredients.. avoid "corn gluten meal" in their food. the further down the list or not there at all even better.. corn sugar starch glop dehydrated and ground up is like a concentrated high fructose corn syrup.. bad stuff! (and parasites love sweets)
fleas ticks mosquitos and worms dont like spicy stuff.. but my pup sure loves some spicy nacho cheese sauce on his food! the bugs leave him alone.
fleas in the house.. good old borax, rake it into the carpet. if its bad, use about 1/4 the amount recommended 3 way powder mixed in. borax clogs their gills they suffocate. it cuts their wax coat, they dehydrate.. and it'll only help when you break out with the carpet shampooer. tell ya right now tho, if ya got fleas on your boat I cant help ya.

 

Garlic tablets in their evening chow as well as fish oil capsules. Fleas are no longer an issue and I had the poster child for skin issues and flea problems. The product is called Comfortis and is a beef flavored (yes, I've tasted it) tablet, given once a month. Your dogs will stop scratching and no fleas will appear on them. Not all vets carry it, but in the deep south, where fleas don't die off from winter freezes, it's a huge issue and trust me Comfortis is the answer. Not a single person I've recommend this product to has said anything but rave reviews.

 

..did you hear about the fella that went to the vet with his dog cos it was a bit crook, he was also not so good and dropped into his own doctor as well.....anyhow, I was talking to his wife a few weeks back, saying i had not seen him for a while...oh, no she says, he died.....what, I did not know he was that sick, it turns out he was hit by a truck, whilst sitting in the middle of the road licking his dick, he must have got the tablets mixed up somehow.
