Design brief for anti-whaling vessel?

The deer are bigger on the mainland and fairly numerous. We also have black bear here as well as cougar(very limited in numbers, though).

Ugh. I will kill a whale in this thread's honor. And I will let it float for other animals to pick at. You see, these beasts do more damage than you lubbers can know, and I am incapable of describing it to you above the drone of your impassioned ignorance (you know which ones I'm talking about). A start:
I once waited for seventeen years for a Pt. Adams capalin bloom only to have what the F'ing biologists called "app. 140 humpbacks" come in and vacuum 160,000 tons of breeding fish in four years (closer to 1,500 whales. I cud often see more than 140 whales blowing at one time in any direction) - enuf so that insufficient numbers were left to spawn and continue the frenzy, the halibut and uncountable birds and everything else which came to depend on it got skinny, starved, many died. Bad enuf that the whales got accustomed, as well, and ate the remaining other species in surrounding areas for several years after, but they also leave their fetid **** piles which overwhelm an area and promote parasite growth in finfish (mostly cod because they stay localized seasonally - think about that when eating your next bacalao). After ruining a once-in-my-lifetime frenzy, then what happens? The beasts sense abundance thus spawn and overpopulate to the point of their own starvation - Dead humpbacks with their tongues ripped out by orca everywhere one looked for a couple of years.
Wudn't a little management (culling) make it better for not just every other species, but more importantly to your type - the whales themselves?
What species of whale are the Japonese culling? Minkes? Well, there's a lot more of them than there are humpbacks. You want to let them multiply until they starve themselves out? You like cycling of animal stocks? The end of a cycle is always starvation - you like that? If you in your Prius, you tofurkey eating, self-righteous, city parasites...if you think man is cruel - try getting out and looking at nature.
Here's a conundrum for you: Humpbacks and grays will eat so much that they starve out the fins and seis. Ever see a starving, dying finback? Cud you take it?

 

Yep, now we know: it's actually whales who are destroying the environment, not humans.

Although I do kind of wonder who originally kept Minke whales from overrunning the planet, throughout the millennia before people took over the job.

 

The average mule deer here at the junction of the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts runs from 150 to 300 pounds--with the occasional buck hitting 500 pounds.

When did you see whales that had actually starved to dead? How many? Where? Your observations seem different that most published info. I am guessing that you believe the whale population is much higher that currently thought by most.

Why do you think anyone would misstate the actual numbers?

 

People mis-state numbers for ulterior motives on many topics. Whales, climate, seals, carbohydrates, to name but a few. It is the tool of fear-mongerers to rob you of your freedom. Be alert.
