    I've discovered this substance that if your put a boat in it will make it float

    In short it will float your boat.

    I call it Whatever.

    Floating my boat

    So you're saying "Whatever will float your boat". I'm afraid that you have a serious problem: producing enough whatever to float your boat would probably be awfully expensive-and there is the nagging problem of all that water that would have to be moved, I guess.
    While its great to see such creativity and to witness new discoveries I'm afraid that you may be, shall we say, all wet.....(at least on earth for the time being)

    Is "Whatever" the Walmart knock off brand of "Rising Tide"?

    That sounds like a patent infringement Mate!
    I tested "whatever" already in the early 1960ies with astounding success. Though I named it "Dihydrogen monoxide"

    Although I was very pleased with the stuff and enjoyed years of relaxed sailing in it, I later gave up due to some severe risks, I became aware of.

    These dangers of dihydrogen monoxide include:

    * Also called ‘hydroxyl acid’, the substance is a major component of acid rain;
    * Contributes to soil erosion;
    * Contributes to the greenhouse effect;
    * Accelerates corrosion and breakdown of electrical equipment;
    * Excessive ingestion may cause various unpleasant effects;
    * Prolonged contact with its solid form results in severe tissue damage;
    * Inhalation, even in small quantities, may cause death;
    * Its gaseous form may cause severe burns;
    * It has been found in the tumors of terminal cancer patients;
    * Withdrawal by those addicted to the substance causes certain death within 168 hours.

    Nevertheless, governments and corporations continue using it widely, heedless of its grave dangers.

    I therefore will skimp on any possible lawsuits against you, and grant permission of using and even renaming dihydrogen monoxide to whatever.

    Regards
    Richard

    Too bad it can not be patented, whatever is "prior art".

    FYI, you did not discover it. I think dates back to the beginning of when humans started messing about with boats. The ancient whatever can no longer be patented. But that does not stop anyone from using it now of course.

    Whatever, have fun with it.

    whatever isn't all fun, it can be used commercially by cargo ships and even war ships

    to meet military requirements costs more

    just adding color to hide subs is expensive

    Is this a part of the house training pet product "Stop Leak with Don't Dump" empire?
