OK I just put in an offer
chump change actually but the numbers came out to be a wash so it sorta made sense at least to me to offer what I did

if I get it I'll drag it up and store it under cover, over dirt till I get a chance to get my but up there and do something with it.

for what I offered I could actually start looking for another one if I really wanted to get silly

maybe something a bit more conducive to blue water this time.

One good one will be better than two holes in the water that you are pouring money into.

But if Haida's repair bill is mostly labour, in your case I'd go for it. As Richard was suggesting, you could sell it in top shape at quite a profit (excluding your own labour) then then get another and have 'half the fun' all over again fixing it up. In the process you would figure out the size and layout that you really want.

I presented it as a purely financial consideration, my offer considered my take on the boats sale value minus the cost of repairs. Granted its a token offering but still its logical within the numbers.

my bet is they will come back with a counter offer and in responce I might come up a bit but not much.

once I get her up and running Ill tool around the columbia for a while till I get the hang of it and then trailer over to the Seattle side

Back from splendid fishing trip......

...things will be even more desparate Boston when the good folks of the USA wake up to the fact that the country is in more debt than it can ever get out of, things are going to get very bad very soon unfortunately.

China is on standby already to play with you all like a cat and mouse.....

....all the government is playing with is on BORROWED money, they BORROWED to pay back borrowed debt......crazy.

 

Financial difficulties of this nature are temporary, what the real problem is, is political. The coruption has reached a boiling point. Reorge the idiot bush thought he'd milked it for all its worth but then came Obummer and now we have a new bar for the next schister to ascend to. Thing is as long as I'm working and not in debt I can collect toys that I might otherwise not be able to afford. My particular version of economic responsibility through a refusal to go into debt seems to finally be showing some potential. What I need now is either a place to rent where I can work on the boat or a place to buy were I can store it. No sense paying rent if I dont have to. Thing is its got to be cheep so I can do it cash as well. If there are payments involved its going to be owner finance and I'll dump the majority of my income into paying it off before I start restorations on the boat

I'm pretty stoked to see what tomorrow brings

I have it on good authority that these folks would be nuts not to take my offer

now to start looking for land somewhere along the rout from Oregon to settle can be BF egypt for all I care as long as I have a place to work on the boat. It would be ideal to find a warehouse in Seattle and just buy it as long as it was cheep and close to water but that might be asking a bit much.

I'll start putting out feelers if I get a positive response tomorrow
