    Boat Nmaes

For the record, here are some of the more memorable ones we have seen during our cruising adventure.

A boat owned by a blind sailor and a physiologist. "Out of Sight Out of Mind"

    "Never Satisfied"

Another boat owned by a sailor who had lost a leg was "Foot Loose"

At a race meeting an owner turned up with his new boat as yet unnamed and was told he could not enter the race unless his boat had a name. He promptly went down to the local hardware store and returned to screw on his new boat name. "Beware of the dog"

    Cheers

There is also the classic FUJIMO. It comes from a well-known racing sailor in the US (name escapes me now, but some of you may know it). He was so devoted to racing that he neglected his family. His wife gave him lots of grief about it. Finally, one of them moved out of the house. So the boat's name is interpreted either of two ways:

F*ck you, Jane, I'm Moving Out.

    or

F*ck you, Jack, I'm Moving Out.

    It's all Latin to me.....

In the end the one that says it all is "Confacimus Navegemus"

It roughly translates to "**** It, Let's Go Sailing". I mean, what is there to say....

Errr Boston, a boat is a sort of container to keep the water out - seems you are trying it in reverse with some reasonable success? - So what is yours (boat or fishtank?) to be called "Far-queue, I did it my way".... :D

Ah. The dilema of a proper vessel name that will herald your arrivals in exotic ports o' Call.

Ponder with dilberation as the vessel name will haunt the timbers for all eterity. You may Knot change the name of on original christening with perals of misfourtune.

I too am seeking a name fo my new yacht. I will consider my selction with the greatest concentration.

As your vessel is made from Alum; May I be so boald as to suggest that you extrapilalate the name into a hailing of.

    Al-LU-Minimum
    or maybe

    Dust O' Rust

just be cautious not to engange a Nome-de Plume such as

    The Purple Donut.
which was boldy spashed upon an old hull in Ogunquit, Maine on Route 1 for many a year. Thats just Nasty

The original full size boat was lost in a tornado in 1988
    This was built in 1990.

Too bad about the loss. It is a beautiful model. Poor sense of humor. Sorry.

    No problem..

    Total refit after twenty years.

    Real compass, and solar panel.

    62.5" length, 21" beam, 16" draft, 60lbs displacement.

And it goes to the lake as well.
