Terry I read your very reasonable post (21) as a question to others not the person in question.
As for the statement that he disappeared after being ask some technical questions (still can’t find them, sorry). I think the condescending attitudes to his basic questions may also have something to do with that.
I also think there maybe a generation gap here the young treat the net like a book, why read when someone will tell, if this is good or bad is up to other to decide. His questions are of a basic nature, he has not asked anybody to do anything technical for him. This brings me back to my original premise if the thread is of such a basic nature why post? Why get involved !

His questions are not of basic nature. The framing is quite far down the design spiral. If the young take the net like a book that will think for them, it is our duty to spank them and make them think.

They post what they do because it makes them feel better about themselves. Here is someone they can look down on (at least in an internet forum).

The two main blowhards have posted many things in these forums that show they don't have half the knowledge they think they do. So picking on some kid is an easy way for them to feel better about themselves.

One of the loudmouths who is ridiculing the guy's school posted last week that he has sailed on 3 continents in the past 6 months. When asked what those continents were his answer was "England, Spain, and Oman."

After that it takes real stones to talk down anyone else's education!

It would seem to me the guy was going through process of going round the design spiral and had a basic design statement and was heading into the conceptual stage of the design, working on structures would be part of that. It’s interesting that the post above my last one it was said his questions are basic, but below the post his questions are not of a basic nature, so I guess it comes down to a point of view based on the experience and knowledge of the subject of the question and how one would answer.

Paul B: you are a liar. They asked me what other continents I had sailed besides South and North America. Your claims that you worked for a 'large mast manufacturers" is the typical ******** from poster that have no experience or knowledge. Appart from personal attacks what can you do? Name the manufacturer you claim to have worked for. If it is any of the large ones, whith one phone call to any of my friends in the business I can verifiy it.

If he is working through the design process he has a great deal to learn about communications. Or perhaps trust.

Lets get back to basics. Post the basic design lines of the trimaran and we can discuss some framing.

Let's see, you call me a liar and in the next sentence post something that is not true.

OK, now we get it. The other continents you sailed besides South and North America were England, Spain, and Oman?

Maybe when you are in a deep hole you should stop digging.

    Wrong thread.

Hell, if I gave the name of the company (which I believe I have done on these forums in the past) you could verify it in minutes even if you knew no one in the industry.

People who know how to sail can read my posts and recognize my level of experience and knowledge. The same for your posts.

When you are caught making things up on an internet forum and outed for it you call it a personal attack? Interesting.

Have you considered the possibility that since he is attending school in Bangladesh English could be his 3rd language?

How would your posts read if you were on a board where you were communicating in your 3rd language? Mine would be awful.

Terry I think he did have trust, in fact probably to much and from his perceptive, as it turned out, to much expectation.

For my own interest I checked around the net for languages used in Bangladesh. The official one is Bangla, which sounds to me like a local way to spell Bengali. English still has an influence as it does in India, but is not supported officially to the extent it is in India. Several sources note significant English content in modern-day Bangla and there are still several English newspapers in Dacca. English is “used as a second language among the middle and upper classes and in higher education” according to Wikipedia.

Ruminame’s English is good and easily understandable so I rather expect his understanding of it is just as good. I think it is appropriate to give up on him.

I was silent because whatever i will be saying ,some of the member will criticize. And i am tired of it.I joined this forum thinking that i will be able to learn a lots of thing from its member. But alas i found some of the members are happy only to criticize & saying ******** about my university. So i thought it will be a better option to remain silent. I just asked what kind of framing system should i choose for my yacht because i have doubt in my mind about the framing system.I searched GL & LR rule book for it but i did not get any satisfying answer. So i thought as you guys are so much knowledgeable you guys can help me.so i asked it.The fact i did not understand why some of the members are so much upset with my question. If they have doubt about something wouldn't they discuss about that with their senior member?
I think the basic purpose of a forum is to shear knowledge not to criticize.
    @ancient kayaker
And i haven't given up. i have completed my project & submitted the paper in university.
