I have been looking over plans for raised deck cruisers by Atkins and Wm Hand Jr. Are there any more recent plans available similar to these styles with wood construction? 32 to 44 foot range or so

Yes, go to D.N. Goodchild. I think you can go:
    www.dngoodchild.com
He reprint all these beautiful plan of the cruisers you mentioned.
I bogth mostly the Hanna and Hand plans.
I bought a lot of these plans for my own interrest.

    Cheers

She sure is and I like the design philosophy behind it

It would be nice to see an arrangement drawing - maybe I just couldn't find it on the site? A small live aboard for a retired couple - where I want to be in a few more years time

Give a call to TAD, and discuss with him to buy the drawing. He will make a custom accommodation I am sure. He is a naval architect.

    Tad,

Yellow Cedar has been my favorite of your designs since I first saw it, maybe 10 years ago. Still a beautiful boat and that classic look will always remain so. No lottery win yet though so I am still happy with mine.

Do you have different engine placements for the two interiors on the PDF posted? Have any been built?

    Tom,

To my knowledge two of the Yellow Cedar hulls have been launched, and I know there are at least 3 others still unfinished. The first hull was built by Memory Yachts in North Carolina (the bottom two pictures). She has a 50HP Yanmar further forward and totally under the sole. Speed is about 7.5 knots at .75gph. The second is called Griselda and I have no info on her power.

    Tad,

My memory fails me, more often lately I had forgotten that this was also the Memory 38 design.
