I got this idea when I saw an ad for an arc welder powered by a Perkins 40 hp diesel. You can see where I'm going cant you?:)
Combine it say say the attached shown and I have a motor for my boat when I'm done and a portable welder for repairs.
Im nowhere near this point yet and I know Id need a lot more in the way of equipment.
I am curious though if I have got the right Idea for basic the requirements.

    And their hype
    Pricing $741.64
The Arc One I 200 STL is the most reliable, powerful, and economical portable inverter welder in its class. Weighing in at 17.5 lbs, this portable welder can deliver 200 amps at a 60% duty cycle, 160 amps full time for stick/180 amps full time (TIG).
Able to use a 1/4 inch stick, this welder will surely cover your needs. Built with solid state circuitry, it generates much less heat for a longer duty cycle and increased productivity. The current output is a higher frequency leading to cleaner welds and less re-work. Backed by a 1 year warranty on the machine, ESA approved, you canĂt go wrong.
This superior inverter welder is backed by a 1 year manufacturer's warranty against all defects resulting from materials or workmanship.
