    Hi all,

I am trying to find someone who is used to working with design software to turn a few drawings i have in to a table of offsets or better so i can start building my little yacht. It is only 3m (10') long so it isn't a huge job.
It will be built in foam/glass construction so i just need enough info so i can cut out and build up the mdf frames to lay it up over.
I am happy to work out the laminate and have suitable moulds for the foils.
I look forward to hearing from anyone who maybe able to help out.

Iam SURE you can do this, and get great satisfaction from it, go into google and look for carlson design, free programme, search the software threads here, , there are some easy to use ones like delftship and freeship, , for free,

Freeship/Delftship has a good manual with tutorials. Very helpful and worth an hour or two of reading and playing with the software.

You needn't be so quick to cry for help, Micro. Everything is tough at first.. but you'll get much more satisfaction out of learning something new, than you would out of having someone else do parts of it for you. It seems you know how to read an offsets table and how to design and lay up fibreglass- putting together a rough model and calculating the offsets should be the easy part!

I would rather find an expert to do the job in a few hours rather than me trying to fumble through it over the next year or so. Sorry if i sound like i am giving up too easy but, my experience is not in design work, hence the reason for asking for help. Most designers are not interested in such a small craft, thats why i came here hoping to find someone with the skills required.

I can do that work for you? I would charge $50 per hour. Not sure of the scope of the work so it is hard to give a firm quote without looking at the drawings you need.
