Seeking Info on 1979 Aqualark Outboard

It's the white piece on the bottom of the stack, and the red piece that's upside down on top. Ha! It's a real wreck. I'm thinking of turning it into a sternwheeler one day.

The pics on your site don't show the little scoops. A picture I have of an Addictor doesn't show them, either - it's the original knockoff of the AquaLark. Other versions of the Addictor were made with different engine sizes, so one of those models may have had scoops. Or they could possibly have been added by an owner.

Glad to see a site showing those tiny boats!

 

Was the addictor just splashed from an aqualark? I'm surprised I've never heard of it. Are the Aqualarks on my site Addictors?

aqualark knockoffs

it seems that most "definite" aqua larks do not have hatches in front of the motor like mine. and all the ones with hatches are not smooth across the top, they bubble up, and open from front to back. mine opens from side to side and is flush with the body. yet to see the brother to my boat yet, are you out there??? also the vents on mine are molded, the others ive seen are chrome and bolted on, and my steering linkage comes in from the other side.

Not sure about the boats on your site. The first Addictors could have been carbon copies of the AquaLark.

HOWDY, i am an fng who just purchased a 85 aqua lark in so. mich. good shape,no motor but i do need a new steering cable.(detmar AO 9ft.).any info would be appreciated. will post pics soon.

hello again people! here are some pics of my 1985 aqua lark.looking for a motor. steering cable is trash, so if i can,t locate on i guess my next step is purchase of a new rack/pinion with cable. your thoughts? boat on!

 

Man, that's a cute boat! Sorry, can't help ya on the cables.

 

I priced out an exact replacement from Teleflex for my 12' boat and cable/pinion helm assembly was around $110 + whatever for new steering wheel.

I'm not really sure where I was looking before. If you can maybe find the part number on their website you are looking for, I'm sure any West Marine or Boat US type of place could order it..

I have just joined the forum...My Family has owned a 1972 Sea Lark for a few years now...but we can't seem to get a lot of info on it....it still has all of it's tags and the origial inboard 20hp merc...(or at least we were told it was a merc at the Johnson dealer).....I was wondering if there was any way to get a hold of pics or something to help us rebuild the hull....the wood is in bad shape after wintering at my sisters house...thanks....it also was made by Tamco

You did mean Outboard, correct?

That's is good info, I will keep it in mind when I get ready to replace my helm assembly this fall. thanks.
