hi. I know im very much a newbie here. I wanted to suggest a human powered boats subforum. In the short time I've been here, it seems to me there is a lot of interest and discussion. Because HPBs tend to be a total package, either home built by enthusiasts, or commercial builders, perhaps under the boat design section?
    any support?
    Thanks.

An "alternative" forum for subs, hydrofoils, WIG's, SES and hovercraft might be a good idea.

Might even have a little room left over for sea planes and barges.

A dedicated "human power" forum perhaps?.

    Solar and electric forums?

It could get too easy to get lost.

When they first broke things down into topics such as "Surface props" I didn't even know what they were.

George, the 'alternative' forum is a good idea. many non mainstream angles here for 'alternative' subforums: airboats? record breaking? paddlewheels/sternwheelers? rowing? Kites ? wing sails? windmills?
    models? steam?
not many sternwheelers here in the u.k. but I did find a very alternative jet engine conversion of a paddlewheeler ont' internet recently...
not up to Steam on the TLAs I'm afraid. WIG's, SES?
I'm one of those land based architects too. a fish out of water maybe?

    Adrian.

Many of the sub-topics we have mentioned currently get posted in the "propulsion" and "General Design" forums which I feel gives these oddities a little more exposure than if they were segregated.

For instance all the talk about pontoons in the general design section right now I don't view as worse or more messy than if it had its own section - just getting more exposure to a wider audience at the moment.

I trust things are better for you over there than they are here in Michigan USA.
