Silly of me, Guillermo. Of course - I should have noticed your photograph on the beach sign....

 

Excuse me but if Katchi is listening,--or any one really. How do you upload those fantastic big photos onto the forum. I had one of 3.5Mg and reduced it to 1.4Mg and it still wont up load. Well is say it wont, but I think 15 minutes is enough to wait. It says waiting for the forum but should it take more than 15minutes.

 

Frosty probably best to ask Jeff what the limits are re size.

Many of the images I post are "right-click" copy-image-location "hot linked" using the URL or picture of mountain symbol.

If the site you like will not allow hot-linking (like boatdesign.net) then you have to copy it to your computer and size it as you have been doing.

I started a free account over at PhotoBucket which allows me to load and hot-link my own photos and get around image size restrictions.

You can hot-link a larger image than you can upload into a forum (most of the time).

And who was there to save you?

 

1.4 MB is rather too large to be uploading to a forum- try downsizing them to 1280x1024 or so, that should be around a couple hundred KB which will go a lot faster and be easier for us to view from within the forum, while still being large enough to fill the screen with awesome photo coolness.
I too have noticed the bd.net server getting rather slow on occasion, but never more than a 30 s or 1 min delay at worst.
kach (George) - yes, heli blades are weighted. Some in the leading edge to keep the blade neutrally balanced around the axis on which its angle of attack is adjusted, and some in the tips which serve the same purpose as the weights used to balance a car tire- ensuring a uniform moment of inertia so that the thing doesn't vibrate itself to pieces.

It must be years ahead in sales, too. Like sometime in the future. It's steel, and with a bow like that, it looks like you could stick it in a wharf or something.
