    I have a Fletcher Arrowsprint 129 speedboat (13ft long) with a Johnson 50 (and doel fins) on the back, I sit on the starboard side and my wife who's lighter than me sits on the port side. At planing speeds the boat leans to the port side quite a lot.
    i cannot work out why?
    Any ideas please?

    Boat listing to port

    Here you go Tim my friend...Only someone as ancient as I would remember:

    16 ounces (oz) to the pound (lb);
    14 (lbs) to the stone (stn);
    8 (stn) to the hundredweight (cwt);
    20 (cwt) to the ton.....

    Errr 4 farthings to a penny; two halfpennies to a penny; 240 pennies to the pound sterling; 12 pennies to a shilling; 20 shillings to a pound sterling; 21 shillings to a guinea....

    Do you want me to go on to distances...inches and such...? (The bits about chains and furlongs can prove quite invigorating).

    Drones on, and on,and on.....

    PS rcflyers - try swapping places.

    To much information. Information overload. Danger Will Robinson, Danger!!!

    To tell the truth, the simplicity of the metric system, I find rather dull.

    Have a good one Berg. Think I'm checking out.

    As it would appear I am the only sensible one here able to answer this difficult question I shall proceed.

    Firtsly your little Fletcher will be quite susceptable to wieght distrubution.

    Secondly the torque from the engine is having a tendancy to twist the boat, especially as it is a deep vee.

    Looking at the boat from the back you will see that the prop turns clockwise (Right hand) the torque from this will try to turn anticlockwise, (Port).

    I trimmed the outboard out one notch and it was fine today - ran nice and level!

    The steering is quite a bit harder to turn to port than to starboard, which way do I need to rotate the engines trim tab to balance it up a bit?

    Is it possible to remove an inner teleflex steering cable to clean and lubricate it?
    thanks.
