    need info

I ma the owner of a 1975 sidewinder with a 90 hp johnson seahorse. I had never heard of a sidewinder before and i really love the boat. My wife and I are looking to restore it to original condition (color and all) but we have no information about the boat in order to do that. Could someone send pics of other sidewinders or offer info on where to find this information. Thanks

I have a 1973 18" Sidewinder built in Oro Ontario Canada. Still in mint shape.
Have a Merc Optimax 150 on it and get about 70 mph. If you would like a picture E mail me

    sidewinder ss14

I have recently acquired what I believe to be a 1970 sidewinder ss14. I think it's a 1970 because it was made in palo alto cal. I am very much hooked on this boat and am undertaking a complete rebuild on the fiberglass hull. I would love to know as much about this boat as possible. I love the lines of this boat and i'm prepared to spend whatever it takes to make this boat the "eyecatcher" it was meant to be, as well as the fastest 14 in New England.

many -many years ago i worked at thompson boats in st. charles mich , doing fiberglass repair , we made sidewinder's and most of them had berkely jet drives , some with an I/O and were all metal flake . tod ward did the design and most likely it was a take off - look a like . G.G.

    Sidewinder ID

I have seen a similar boat - with the foil - built by Fibertron - although I think it was a clone of a 14 ft. Super Sidewinder. As far as I know the original Sidewinder did not come with that foil so it may also be an add on. Do you have the HIN for this boat??
