The original mock-up having been spliced repeatedly, I elected for a rebuild and took the opportunity to adjust the measures so that the upper longerons are 8' lengths, the lower 5' and the deck and side-panels 1' by 3' (with each located 3' from the prow). This allows for fitment of four lift motors 1' fore and aft of each side panel, as marked here by white rubber bumpers. For initial testing 800 watt motors drive 22" propellers, with book figures suggesting that at 85% the thrust-to-weight ratio approaches unity... the gross weight with batteries and ESCs is just 8kg or 18lb. Hydro-skis are extended to 8'6'' and beyond the propeller tips, which will run anticlockwise and clockwise as viewed from the rear.
