Unlike catamarans, chances are craft of this kind will only operate satisfactorily at two speeds viz. stop and fast. Nonetheless they are worth persisting with in view of the fact they are inexpensive, structurally sound and easily deployed. At the same time the materials to hand allow for production of three identical prototypes of around 6' in length, whilst the existing parts from an octocopter will provide for each besides spares. And Tex Johnston did say a single test-flight is worth a thousand speculations...
