colinhilton: PRODUCTION PATTERN

The pattern is designed for a single 8' x 4' foam PVC sheet two inches or 50mm thick, spray laminated to one side. It will be used for pre-production testing of a 12-foot (3600mm) type to be designated 'P1' and it appears as the smaller red watercraft in the photo titled 'PANELPLANES'. It provides for over 130 kilos of buoyancy at the deck, or a 100 kilo surplus after an allowance for supporting a 10 to 15 HP outboard. Three six-inch hydroskis formed of timber planks, at a thickness yet to be determined by testing.
