In creating Kenau, the functional requirements were the starting point of the design, with an open mind about the resulting shape. Once the designers had hit upon the actual concept, with help of scalemodel tests and 3D-design, each demand fell into place. The innovative configuration combines a very slippery, economical hull with comfortably high initial stability that will even increase with the speed. An unusually slippery hull means unusually low energy consumption, even lower noise and an unruffled wake, also at a high speed of 20km/hr. The classically styled interior further radiates gracious comfort and the ambience one would expect in a proper yacht.
