MikeStrasbaugh: M/V FITZGERALD

I wanted to design a great lakes freighter that would be a rapid departure from traditional lake freighter design. She has a modern superstructure, and the bow is shaped to better deflect waves during bad weather while traversing the lakes. The ship is named after the world famous EDMUND FITZGERALD, in honor of all of those lost when the Big Fitz was lost on Lake Superior. She would be 1,135 ft in length, becoming the largest freighter ever to sail the Great Lakes. DESIGN COPYRIGHTED
