This is a 10 diameter, 14 pitch, ID. Its drawn in Rhino 3 SR2, but I could export it to .dwg or .dxf. If you want it send me an e-mail. Its not perfect but better than the last one.

Your offer could be a starting point of a 3D-models database for boat design equipment.
As a first step you can upload your model under http://www.3dcontentcentral.com , -User Library - Miscellaneous - Various Components.
That is what I did with an anchor and so on.
From that place anyone can view the model in 3D and download the model in the format he wants.

Wow - very very interesting link archnav!

The idea of such a place to share free models has come up a few times on our forum, but creating such an interactive 3d zoom/pan/thumbnail and multi-format download archive is no small task. I am thrilled to see that such a free resource exists!

--getting to be a very nice prop model too :)

Thanks for link. I downloaded the new 3 blade as a test. For computer graphics this is another site I visit.

I have tried to download several models from the SolidWorks site. I seem to only be able to get 2D files. Has anyone else been able to get 3D? Ive tried AC 00, dwg and dxf. Is this site functional or is it just collecting information?

You should download a file in .step or Acis format. The .step file you can use directly in Rhino. The upload should also STEP or ACIS .The Acis-file version 4.0 (not higher) you can use directly in AutoCAD.
DXF is not a solid format, also normally it is the same way with DWG. In this case dxf and DWG are automatic generated as 2D-drawings.

Try my anchor and use it in Rhino.

I was able to get the anchor in .iges, and it looks great. No luck in the other formats. When I tried to load the .step file it locked up Rhino. I exported the prop. in .iges and they have it listed, could someone see if they can download it. As Jeff said its not as easy as it should be. But I learned a few things today.

      Hey Gary,
I was able to download your propeller in .step AP214 and to use it in Rhino without any problem.
I have a Rhino test version.
