Very nice work! Interesting layout. The boat looks like a perfect boat for the next Pac Cup. Will it be finished in time? I especially like the shape of the forward sections, the fullish bow reminds me of a Roger Martin design alittle bit .
      I really like it!

Doug - the boat was finished in 2000 and has been sailing since then.
Interior layout was the owner's. with very minor mods from me.
Like a Rodger Martin design, huh? No big surprise, I worked with him from 1988 to 1993-ish ;-)

      Steve,
I have been a long time fan. Do you remember a 40 footer designed around '90, the Martin office did for a client that was an architect, the client made a small mock up of the interior layout. It was a great boat, I can't remember where I saw it though.

      Doug,
You're thinking of "Cetacea" for Geoffrey Palmer. A 45-footer of (for us) heavy displacement at 25,000lbs . Great boat - 11 knots on her maiden sail, to the amazement of the sailmaker. Interior was Geoffrey's work, and looked enormous and open.
      One of my favourites, too.....

Cetacea! That is it, one of my all time favorites, I saw an article way back, about her launch time, and thought that it was just about perfect for the type of sailing I like to do.
      Thanks

Doug, she was a great boat to design. I would recommend working with an owner/architect any time - as long as he has a handle on what a boat SHOULD be......

Steve your work is very nice. I hope I can learn to model and render as good as you
someday. Keep up the great work.

Very nicely done ... I was just looking through some of the galleries in here, and yours suprised me in a pleasant way.

Could you tell, what is this done in (Rhino?)? How do you find its accuracy for full size models in
regards to manufacturing afterwards (bulkheads cutting accuracy)?
